We are deeply saddened by the news of Claudia’s recovery.
We all had prayed for her safe return, and this is certainly not the outcome that we were hoping for. At this time, we would like to thank our friends and family, the community, and law enforcement for all your hard work and dedication over the last four months.
We especially want to thank our unsung heroes, Michael and Cassandra Lobe, the two hikers that found her. We truly believe that they are angels that were sent by God to bring her home. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
This website was created to help find our beloved Maria Claudia. After her passing, it will serve as a tribute to honor her life and the beautiful person that we all knew her to be. Maria Claudia Murphy of Coral Springs, Florida. A mother, a wife, and an animal lover. She is 45 years old, a U.S. citizen originally from Bogota, Colombia, 5'10" tall, weighs 170 lbs, has long brown hair and a dragonfly tattoo over her left ankle. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Maria Claudia was last seen on friday March 16th, 2012, wearing jeans, an off-white or pale yellow t-shirt, a black bag slung over her shoulder, and a neck strap to hold her sunglasses.
At around 1:00 pm, bank surveillance camera shows Claudia making a deposit at the ATM of Bank of America, located at 1401 S. University Drive in Coral Springs, Florida.1/6
